This Majlis Mohamed bin Zayed session focuses on restoring hope for nature and the importance of species conservation. It features Her Excellency Razan Khalifa Al Mubarak, Secretary General of the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi and Managing Director of the Mohamed bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund. The session highlights the Fund’s global impact, having supported over 1,800 projects across the world – and, importantly, directly restoring hope to 1,800 local conservation initiatives and nature activists. It includes the story of how a turtle species created a unique bond between a small community in Queensland and the UAE and celebrates funding success for the Great Knot bird. The session reflects on the UAE’s role as a beacon of generosity and commitment to global environmental preservation.
