The UAE’s progress in space exploration is the focus of this Majlis Mohamed bin Zayed session, attended by His Highness Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior. The keynote address outlines the vision behind the UAE’s satellite and exploration programmes – including the development of MBZ-SAT, the first satellite fully built by Emirati engineers. Emirati astronauts share reflections on their missions, including the UAE’s first journey to the International Space Station, a six-month expedition, and the first spacewalk by an Arab astronaut. Contributions from MBRSC researchers highlight advancements in satellite technology, life sciences, and mission support. The session illustrates how national leadership, scientific talent, and international cooperation are establishing the UAE as a leading player in global space exploration.
